EarthBlock Technologies, Inc. engages in the application of technologically advanced earthen construction products for the large-scale production of affordable, high quality, energy efficient homes and commercial buildings.

Earth structures have been employed on every continent for thousands of years. It is estimated that 1/3 of the world’s population resides in some form of an earth structure.

What are the advantages of using compressed earth blocks?

Blocks are incredibly strong, compressive strength of 1,000-1,600 PSI. Building codes in the US require a compressive strength of 300 PSI for non-fired structural masonry blocks.

Fast, one machine can produce enough blocks to construct a 900 SF building in as little as one day.

Pristine thermal performance, reduction in heating and cooling costs.

Soil normally is available on site for production - eliminating material transport costs.

Long lasting and durable! Historically, many earth structures have lasted hundreds of years with minimal maintenance.

Non-toxic, eco-friendly, sound resistant, fire resistant and insect resistant.

Building with compressed earth blocks is very simple, here’s why:

Architectural and site plans are created. The site is expertly excavated and the foundation and stem walls are constructed. During this time, the excavated soil can be used to begin the block making process. Blocks are tested for compressive strength and modulus of rupture.

Blocks are stacked on the stem walls so that the longest dimension of the blocks forms the thickness of the walls. EarthBlock Technologies uses a thin soil slurry placed onto the top of the previous course (about 1/8 inch thick). Then the new block is placed in line with and on top of the bottom block using a string for alignment.

EarthBlock Technologies is an international leader in environmentally friendly, high quality building technologies and earthen construction. They recently completed an agreement to acquire more construction lots in the Midland, Texas area. Purchasing additional construction sites in the popular Ranch Estates area of the city.

Midland, Odessa, Ft. Stockton and other surrounding West Texas communities are all experiencing severe housing shortages. The president of EarthBlock Technologies, Gregory Pitner, stated, “”Because of the strong economy, demand for housing exceeds supply. There is very little housing inventory available,”

Midland experienced an employment growth rate of 4.0% for the 12 months ended June 30, 2007 which was second only to Lubbock as compared to 26 Texas metro areas. Odessa was third (3.9%) for the same period. Midland also had the lowest unemployment rate at 3.2% in June, 2007. Odessa was third at 3.8%.
